Hello all! Well, wedding invitations are stuffed, stamped and addressed. I just have to seal them, but I refuse to lick them all. May have to go cloth and water, that may work....

JJ's mom, Lynne, did a nice job addressing, she only made a couple of mistakes, so I regret to inform Monica that her invitation is addressed by me. Yeah, it is legible. Seriously though if you don't get it in a few days let me know....

This Saturday my friend Lisa and I are catering the hors d'oeuvres for a lesbian commitment ceremony, although after the gay marriage law finally passed it may be a wedding now, I wasn't sure it was appropriate to ask. But it is wedding. One of them has a dress, the other a suit, all the same traditions. Anyway, Lisa and I going shopping for food here in a little bit. We haven't made catering trays in over a year but I am sure we are still capable. We even got access to our old slicer. It should be fun, we will make sure food is refilled until the actual meal is served so we get to hang out with the guys in drag.... my life is weird.

That is about it. I am happy to spend time with Lisa today, she is currently my friend with the least amount of self-absorbed drama in her life. Although my friend Sean's mother is ill, so that doesn't count as self-absorbed drama, that just sucks. Lisa just gets through things with a smile and bad, inappropriate jokes, which is why I love her. Have a good day!

Hello all. Yes yes, I know it has been a few days, but I at least saw a few of you at Grandma's. It is super windy outside. I work tonight and I hope I don't have to work on the patio because my allergies will go crazy.

Let's see, Mom sent me an example of the shower invitations and they are adorable! Perfect in fact, I love them, great paper.

All is well here. My friend Mandy has had some boyfriend drama but it seems to be working out. Her boyfriend broke up with her and immediately JJ's twin brother Paul asked her out on a date, so she is pretty happy. She was only with Mark the loser a couple months so she is doing fine, not too much drama for me to deal with.

The diet is going all right. I have lost 9 pounds, but last week I didn't really lose anything. I think it is because my back hurt and wasn't bussing, which is a lot of exercise, so things should start moving along here soon. What is killing me is I am supposed to drink a lot of water, which I don't really like, but the worst thing is how often I have to pee! I am scared to go anywhere because I need to make sure I am near a bathroom at all times. I remember this from the last time I dieted, it eventually got better, but for now, argh! Yeah yeah, too much info, I know.

Well, that is it for now. I have to go get ready for work, and of course, pee.

Oh Why?

Wow! So tomorrow it is supposed to be 102 here in sunny Chico. And aren't we all excited about that. The next few days are supposed to be super hot, then it looks like it may cool down by time Mom and Dree come, I hope so.

I hate cold weather, I really do. But when it gets so unbearable here I wonder which is worse. Besides we only had a couple days in the 90s. We are going from the 80s to the 100s. Good old Chico. Sigh. I hope the wedding ends up being during one of those weeks where it cools down some. July is usually the hottest month, by August it isn't usually in the 100s anymore. The lady who owns the place we are having it talked about getting some fan misters that we could use, so I will talk to her about that.

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night will keep me from my appointed rounds, unless I just don't feel up to it.

I think there is a postal conspiracy. My mail usually arrives about 1 o'clock. On these day I usually see a mail truck somewhere while I am driving around. They are out and about. But every couple of weeks I don't see any mail trucks anywhere. Coincidentally, there are the same days I get no mail at all. I can see that maybe there would be days when I get no mail, but I find it strange that I never see mail trucks on the same days. Are they just skipping days sometimes? Is it a Chico thing? Or maybe I just have a real lazy mailman. I don't know, it is just something I have noticed....

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms (and soon to be moms, Monica). I, well, didn't have the greatest day, but whatever. It wasn't terrible. Anyway, I just got home from work and my back is hurting real bad (part of why my day sucked), so I am going to get off this computer.

Harumph! Apparently all the Guest Book comments are only being sent to JJ's e-mail address. I have no idea why, but sheesh! He is going to start forwarding them to me. He says it's because he's "the husband." Sigh.
